II. General Purpose & Requirements of the Job

Purpose of The Job

As an associate to Project director, he/she shall be responsible for overall project management of Tuticorin expansion project. Project management refers to clearing engineering deliverables from consultant, cost and quality control, project tracking and monitoring, coordination with consultant, site, purchase and finance teams

A minimum of 5+ years working experience of project management in oil & gas sector with a civil or mechanical background
A keen understanding of safety and its importance in oil and gas sector
Project coordination, tracking, monitoring, making Reports through MS Projects or Primavera software
Demonstrating an understanding of the construction industry and Mechanical systems and components
Balance multiple deadlines and changing priorities with ability to work efficiently under pressure.

An academic degree at graduate level or comparable preferably with distinction.
Civil/ Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of project management experience in Oil & Gas field Ambitious to grow within a dynamic international organization


 

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management & Resource management
Responsible for overall project management of Tuticorin expansion project.
Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables received from consultant and passing the same to purchase for procurement or to site for construction
Project monitoring and tracking w.r.t to Cost, quality and schedule. Making regular reports for STEERCO
Predicting bottle necks and proposing suitable solutions
Coordinating with internal customers like procurement an finance department and support site construction
Documentation of all project related activities, approvals, applications and keeping a track on necessary compliances with various conditions stipulated in initial approvals
Preparation of work progress reports, conducting meeting with consultant, site team and vendors
Keeping a tab on material procurement and supply status and regular follow ups/ inspection to vendor shop site to review the progress of manufacturing

2. Construction Management
Supporting site team in issues related to construction such as discrepancies in drawings, issues with contractors etc.
Conducting regular visits to site to review progress, conduct audits and make reports on issues, bottlenecks or improvement areas
He/ She might also be deputed to Tuticorin site to support construction activities
Review various documents/ drawings developed by site team in coordination with contractors and consultants such as job safety procedures
Coordinate with site team and operations department to ensure minimal disruption to production and construction.
3. Statutory & Compliance
The candidate shall be aware of the applicable common standards such as IS/ OISD standards and make sure engineering
He/ She shall be responsible for filing all the necessary statutory applications applicable for the project such as Consent to Establish etc.
He/ She shall be responsible for compliances with all existing approvals and conditions specified therein
He/ She shall represent SHV at various government offices to speed up approval process
4. Safety
Ensure the deliverables given by consultant and safe inherently and can be executed at site safely
Conduct regular safety audits at site, make reports on observations and deviations and ensure corrective action
Review and approve all the jobs safety procedures developed at site for safe execution
